Gucci Introduces Second High Jewelry Collection, Hortus Deliciarum

For Gucci’s second chapter of its high jewelry journey, Alessandro Michele found inspiration in the mesmerizing hues of the sky at different times of the day. Carrying a name that translates into “Garden of Delights”, the collection echoes the eclectic quixotism of the designer’s kaleidoscopic universe while reinterpreting symbolic motifs that are dear to him and reminiscent of Gucci’s multifarious canon of house iconography. It captures a moment of wonder where a look up to the sky fills you with a spiritual pleasure no matter where you are in the world.

The result of this vision is a collection of 130 pieces divided into 4 chapters that celebrate the majestic beauty of the natural world in every possible way. The first honors natural landscapes such as waterfalls and forestry through cascades of diamonds paired with an array of colored gemstones, tasseled necklaces, and chandelier earrings. The sky at sunset constitutes the theme of the second chapter, immortalizing the fleeting magic of nightfall through romantic, gothic creations ornamented with highly unique gems. The third chapter is a delicate and feminine narrative about the romanticism of a rose garden where bows and talismanic sautoirs remind us of renewal and love. Finally, the fourth chapter revisits the animal kingdom in all its glory.

This saga is never complete without the striking solitaires that are redefined with a maximalist allure and the timepieces that gave watchmaking’s connection between “luxury” and “soul” a new meaning, one that is truly Gucci.
