Cartier Celebrates 100 Years of Trinity with New Creations

100 years ago, Cartier brought to life an icon: the Trinity ring. It was in 1924 that this iconic piece was imagined by Louis Cartier to symbolize the Maison’s most cherished values through the language of jewelry – one that Cartier has always mastered. To celebrate this anniversary, diversity and harmony are brought back to life in new creations that cherish love in all its forms through a trio of yellow, white and rose gold. Bringing jewelry into modernity right from the start, this ring is a true celebration of Cartier’s history: the three brothers – Louis, Pierre and Jacques, as well as the three historic Cartier boutiques – Paris, London and New York.

This year, Trinity is being reinvented in versions that, as their predecessors, are made for everyone with no age limit, without boundaries, with no need to conform. On this occasion, simple and pure yet daring new designs are imagined. The XL bracelet from the 2000s is reissued and an XL version of the ring is launched, as the chromatic trilogy is ever present as well as the mobility and the clean lines. Through a change in the shape and the distortion of the bands, the Maison’s creative studios also produced original variations of the timeless trinity. In fact, the cushion-shaped collection, whose rings slide one above the other with the same naturalness as the round version, comprises classic and large model rings all in gold, or paved with diamonds, a bracelet and a pendant. As for the modular ring, it can be worn as one wide, large band, or as three that unfold like a construction game, revealing their diamonds as they move in a true testament of the Cartier’s creativity.
