How to Get Rid of Dandruff /Product Build up

I know it’s gross and no one wants to talk about it but it happens. From dry shampoos to hair sprays, we are using so many products in our hair. All this causes flakey product build up not to mention all the heat damaging your scalp. In a perfect world, we would just let our hair flow naturally but realistically it’s not happening. I hate the sight of flake when I look in the mirror; whether it’s an itchy scalp, product residue or the dreaded dandruff, let’s get rid of it! I saw a hack using mouthwash on your scalp, but I feel like my skin might be too sensitive for that. For actual dandruff I would suggest using a medicated shampoo over the counter or by your dermatologist depending, on how serious the issue is. If you just have dry skin, perhaps a conditioning treatment for your scalp? For product build, switch to a clarifying shampoo maybe once a month or so. Home remedies include using lemon, baking soda or even apple cider vinegar. Since I’m not sure if I want lemon affecting my hair color I think the best choice for me is the baking soda. I feel like my scalp just needs to be exfoliated so I just add this to my first shampoo and work it in, rinse it off and just shampoo like I normally do.
