Believe it or not, blush is like contour. It can actually change your face’s looks and enhance your features by simply knowing where exactly it should be applied according to the shape. So, without further ado, let’s get to it and make everything clear!

In oval faces, cheekbones are prominent and the forehead is slightly wider than the chin. So, find your cheekbones – which is an easy task with your face shape, then apply your blush just above the bone instead of heading towards the hollow beneath it in order to create a raised effect.

If your face is heart-shaped, there’s a big chance it can look pointy with your wide forehead, high cheekbones and narrow chin. To soften these features, apply your blush to the outer corner of your cheekbone, starting by your ear and ending at a point below the outer corner of your eye, as well as to your temples towards the center of your forehead in order to balance it with your chin.

Square faces stand out by having a forehead, cheekbones and a chin of the same width, so to define them, apply your blush slightly below the cheekbone, as well as in the hairline in order to soften the edges of your face.

Known for being as wide as they are long, round faces are not big fans of shimmery blushes – which make the surface of the face look even more round. So, if your face is of this shape, pick up your matte blush and apply it from the ear down the cheekbone towards the mouth. Add a little bit on your chin and make sure to blend it well in order to make your face look longer.

Similar to oval and square faces but longer and less wide, long faces love their blush to be applied on the cheekbones below the outer corners of the eyes. Well blended, the blush should never go lower than the tip of the nose to help soften the features.

A narrow and pointed chin with high cheekbones are the features of a triangular face and if this is your case, you should apply your blush in a sideway V on the cheekbones, blended towards the temple, then extended over the brow a bit toward the center of the forehead.

With these tips, you will certainly find a difference in your makeup results, and no worries, you can thank us later!
