Forever Young Habits

If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s the desire to feel and look young. Yes, genetics play a big part, but there are a few things you might not be aware of that are aging you faster. We found a few habits that older women who look fabulous are doing, and we’re gonna give them a try.

Don’t leave the house without sunglasses. Whether you are in the car or out and about, always have your shades on to protect your eye area. This will instantly make you feel fabulous anyway, so why not? Squinting causes wrinkles and the sun can also cause damage to your eyes. What a great excuse to go out and buy a chic new pair of sunglasses! 

Are you a side sleeper? Ever wake up and have all these lines across your face? Well if you are pushing up against your pillow every night for about 8 hours, imagine the damage it is causing to your skin. Either invest in a silk pillowcase or try sleeping on your back. It might feel strange at first but you will get used to it.

There’s nothing more relaxing than a hot bath, we totally agree! Unfortunately, these daily hot water rituals are sagging our skin. It’s not wrong to reward yourself with a hot bath once in a while, but also turning down the temperature can help your skin stay firm.

Skip the dessert. Eating too much sugar is bad for you to start with, in case you haven’t already heard. Not only is it bad for your health, it actually ages you as well. If you’re craving sweets enjoy fresh fruit, the vitamins in fruits do wonders for your skin.

It’s no secret that working out and being healthy overall will keep you young, and practicing yoga or any kind of movement helps your blood circulate and gives you that after-gym glow.
