The opening of the CULTURE CHANEL exhibition gathered nearly 400 guests at the heart of Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art in Venice, to celebrate “The woman who reads”, the seventh chapter of the legendary concept. A slew of the most important names graced the exhibition with their presence, from Giorgia Pea, Culture Commission President of Venice to Mariacristina Gribaudi, President of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Gabriella Belli, Director of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Jean-Louis Froment, curator of CULTURE CHANEL.

The likes of Anna Mouglalis and Keira Knightley, Chanel’s ambassadresses, were also present as well as Caroline de Maigret, the French Writer Anne Berest and Italian actresses Alessandra Mastronardi, Kasia Smutniak and Luisa Ranieri. The star-studded event payed homage to Gabrielle Chanel and her fond relationship with literature and authors. More than 350 pieces perfectly represented the hidden literary-loving side of Gabrielle Chanel, in a series of books, dedications, archives, photographs, paintings, drawings and fashion and jewelry creations.

For all you art lovers, the exhibition will be open until the 8th of January, 2017! Head to the Photo Gallery to view all the celebrities who attended the event.
