Fight Those Winter Blues

Even though the cold season might not be that chilly in the GCC, but it still somehow manages to shift our lives, whether with its lower temperatures, the shorter days or simply the general ambiance it casts over our lifestyle. In this sense, setting little yet effective goals can have a great impact on how your days unfold – letting you feel more productive and energetic with every achievement. What might those be you might ask, well here’s a few, and believe me it is as easy as it seems!    

  • Whether you’re staying in or going out for the day – even if it’s only to the grocery store – it’s important to dress up before tackling your tasks. Looking fabulous and flaunting your unparalleled style will instantly boost your self-esteem.
  • Make sure to go out to your yard or simply for a walk to enjoy the sun whenever it’s possible. Those rays will warm your sole before your body, giving you a much-needed extra dose of energy. The sun can also pave its way towards you if you let it cast its charm on your space through those open drapes.     
  • When setting your tasks, ensure that you always include something that will encourage you to take care of yourself: a mask, a long shower, a massage, a coffee break you keep missing…
  • Don’t forget that maintaining a regulated sleep schedule will highly affect you both physically and emotionally. However, don’t let the comfiness of your bed lure you to stay under your covers all day!
  • Since the weather is no longer the same and the temperatures are fluctuating, it’s very important that your body temperature doesn’t do the same. Allowing so won’t let you feel good even in your own skin, so dress relevantly and keep an eye on that heating system.  
  • It goes without saying that adopting an overall healthy lifestyle, from eating well, to exercising and drinking enough water, is more than enough to keep you at ease and feeling more alive than ever. 

And hey, socializing, finally going on that winter trip, spending the day at the spa, are nothing but a few more of the endless things you can opt for. Just choose what suits you best and ditch those negative vibes!
