Inspired by Dior’s deep-rooted connection to Texas that Christian Dior chose as a first stop in his celebration journey of the debut of his collection back in 1947, Men’s Artistic Director Kim Jones brought back the memory of this legacy through Dior’s Summer 2022 Men’s collection, and we will tell you all about it.
First things first, the amazing collection reflects Dior’s unparalleled virtuoso through its charming fluid trousers, slim overcoats, track pants, embellished with embroideries and hand-painted t-shirts and other marvels, thus creating a lively contrast between formality and sportswear elements.
In fact, Travis Scott – the multitalented American artist – also added his share of charm to the collection as he collaborated with the House and Kim Jones, and had a hand in the making of this amazing work of art, not only with his Texan roots, but also the collection’s name “Cactus Jack Dior” which was inspired by his Cactus Jack records label. He reimagined the Dior logotype via a series of hand-drawn graphics that were transformed into distinguished prints and embroideries perfectly complementing the pieces.
As between the different celebrities who attended the show, we can’t but mention Takashi Murakami, Bella Hadid, Dan Levy, Kate Moss, Robert Pattison and of course Travis Scott, who casted their charm on the event – thus making it even more dazzling!
