Your Way to Smooth, Healthy Lips

Your lips are just like your body and face; they need care! If you are a true beauty guru, you must be aware of your lip duties. Now that the weather is changing, you will start noticing that your lips – just like your skin – are getting dry and chapped, so it’s time to take action.

In fact, if you give them the needed care, you will definitely appreciate your efforts and get the lips that you have always dreamed of in just a few simple steps. After all, everything becomes an easy routine when done regularly; you just have to make sure that you’re doing things properly and you’re all set!  So here’s what you need to do for an oh-so-healthy and attractive pout.

1 – Drinking water regularly is not only healthy for your body. It is also beneficial for your lips, so make sure to drink a minimum of 9 cups of water daily.

2 – Stop licking your lips. Yes, this habit definitely needs to stop as it damages the protective barrier – which leads to dehydration.

3 – Apply lip balm regularly and make sure to choose one that contains hydrating ingredients such as beeswax, shea butter and almond oil.

4 – Due to their lack of melanin, lips can get sunburned so you need to protect them with a lip product that contains SPF.

5 – Exfoliate your lips when you feel it’s necessary and if yours are already chapped, avoid exfoliating them more than once a week.

6 – Although matte lips have become the new thing this season, it’s important to mention that matte lipsticks tend to dry out your skin – which makes them one of the culprits for chapped lips. So, use hydrating lipsticks and keep the charming matte pouts for occasions, especially at this time of the year.
