Quick Evening Eyes Using Eyeshadow Sticks

It seems like no matter how early you start getting ready before a night out, time somehow flies by. We usually spend hours trying to figure out what to wear, so once we get to the final step of makeup we don’t have much time left. During these beauty emergency situations eyeshadow sticks have always saved me. These sticks will help you go from basic to glamorous faster than your Uber arrives!

I usually use concealer as my eye base but a primer like the BENEFIT COSMETICS Stay Don't Stray Eyeshadow Primer is always a good idea. For my crease, I start off with MAC’s Eye Shadow in Quarry. Any mauve-y tone will work with this look, but make sure it’s matte.

Next, using NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in Goddess, color in the inner corners of your eye for a pop of shimmer. If some gets on the bottom, that’s ok! Just pretend it was intentional.

Green eyeshadow might sound daring, but to be honest most of the dark shadows really end up looking like black. I love a dark jeweled green like the NARS Sukhothai which has the perfect description of a peacock feather. Use this on the center of the lid as your main color. Literally glide it on your eye like you are a little girl playing with crayons.

For an even darker effect, use Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bark on the outer corners. Have a blending crease brush ready in your other hand as these eyesticks usually dry fast and are a pain to remove. Using a flat liner blush, use bark for your lower lash line.

If you are feeling gutsy, use Lancôme GRANDIÔSE Bendable Liquid Eyeliner for a quick flick at the ends. A few coats of Lancôme GRANDIÔSE Extreme Wide-Angle Extreme Volume Mascara will leave everyone wondering who did your makeup!
