Prada Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Collection

What was your teenage bedroom like? Miuccia Prada wants to take you back there for a nostalgic twist. Scattered around the show-space, guests sat on beds with floral bedlinen and cosy colored blankets, whilst walls were draped with collages of posters, photos and newspaper cuttings like teenage girls' bedrooms. Slouchy lounge pants and a shearling jacket draped over a crochet bikini top and styled with fury trimmed loafers opened the show. There was a 60's feel to the leather baker boy hats and flat over the knee boots. Coats and skirts were trimmed with contrast colored furs and dresses printed with motifs. Styling was expertly mismatched. Think felt skirts with floral appliqués and clashing colored mohair knits. Over-the-knee red boots seem to be a 'Milan thing'. Prada styled them with a red-carpet-worthy pink evening gown. This collection celebrated a teenage girl playing with her grandmother's vintage fashion.
