Philosophy Di Lorenzo SerafiniFall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

As a designer who’s always had a thing for the eighties, Lorenzo Serafini went all out for his Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection. Technically, that meant a wide usage of big and bold shoulder pads and bouffant sleeves.

Indeed, the designer opened his show with a western-inspired coat that combined both a brownish color palette and a lot of fringes. And one by one, the models came out in leather jumpsuits with structured shoulders, elegant knits with preppy bows, brown leather trousers and lavish denim overalls. Majestic fur coats made quite the impression on show-goers, as they were spotted paired with grey jumpsuits and buckle belts. Large oversized sweaters were rendered retro with shoulder pads, while some metallic pieces were revisited in a gold-ish tone. Surely, there were the one-shouldered tops, the crazy ruffled blouses and dresses, and the polka dots numbers.

And as a final nod to the eighties, Serafini revisited the puffball skirt in pink taffeta and two sultry velvet dresses.
