Ingie Paris at Arab Fashion Week

The long-awaited event of the year, AKA Arab Fashion Week, kicked off with marvellous runway shows, worthy of the Gulf’s fine taste. But perhaps the highlight of the week was most certainly the closing ceremony, where businesswoman and fashion designer Ingie Chalhoub was honoured with The Fashion Award for Business of Fashion this season. In fact, the award was presented by Cavaliere Mario Boselli, Honorary President of the Arab Fashion Council and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber of Italian Fashion).

The notorious designer put a fashionable cherry on top of the AFW cake by showcasing a Fall/Winter 2016 runway show, as a slew of models unveiled a series of pleated skirts and blouses, disco-inspired dresses and jackets and a color palette skewing from fiery red hues to black and blue tones, reminiscent of the American pop art icon Andy Warhol’s works.

The art-meets-fashion collection was truly an Ingie Paris chef d’oeuvre and well, the concluding award was a testament to the designer’s ingenuity!
