Givenchy Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Collection

This was a fashion show unlike any other. Foregoing the traditional catwalk, Givenchy presented an installation that was a 27piece homage to Riccardo Tisci, the fashion house's Creative Director who after 12 years at the helm of the iconic brand, (a tenure which saw him put it firmly back up there on the fashion map) left in January of this year. In a show entitled Givenchy Red, every look was pillar box red from top-to-toe. Each look reinterpreted one of Tisci's iconic silhouettes from each of his 12 years at Givenchy. There was the Bambi t-shirt from 2013; the little lace dress with iconic Shark-Lock boots from AW 2012; the neoprene suit and parka look from 2010. The year of each look was printed on black oversized sunglasses or red embossed neck fabric collars. It was a fitting tribute and final love letter by Givenchy to Tisci.
