Diet Tips to Put You on the Right Track

Summer is close and soon enough you’ll realize that you should have the perfect body, because let’s admit it, plenty of beach outings await you! So here are a few tips to put you on the right track.

1 – Never get too hungry, as you will end up eating anything that comes your way.

2 – Don’t overestimate the calories you burned during exercise as you will end up eating more than you need, making weight loss difficult.

3 – Use the red, orange and green rule by including any food that has any of these colors in each meal. This way, you won’t have space on your plate for higher-calorie options. The bonus is that colored fruits and vegetable leave your skin looking healthier and younger.

4 – Drink a lot of water in order to avoid retaining water-weight.

5 – Get rid of the habit of adding salt, as the latter is a big contributor to weight gain.

6 – Spice up your food, as spices help curb your hunger.

7 – Focus on nutrient balance instead of calorie counting, because you should give your body what it needs by choosing longer-digesting nutrients that will make you stay full.  

8 – Take your time in eating, as it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to send a message to your brain that you have eaten enough. This will actually prevent you from overeating.
