Cream Blush

I’ve always loved the look of natural makeup and how youthful it looks. Looking back to my twenties, one of my staples was a cream blush by Stila called Convertible Color in Peony. I loved how this looked, but I somehow drifted away into the powder blush world. I always used my fingertips to apply it but you could also use a brush. The dry weather has made me want to revisit my love for cream blushes, so I picked out a couple of my favorites and learned a few new tricks. That said, if you have oily skin I would probably stick to a powder. I also wouldn’t use this on a really hot day since it won’t last very long.

As far as brushes I would use the MAC 130SH short duo fibre brush to apply. On a makeup-free day, I like using something really subtle like the Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush. This is so easy to apply because it comes in a roll up applicator. For a bronzy look, Tom Ford’s Cream Cheek Color in Radiant Finish is perfect. You can even apply this with a sponge or your beauty blender. Another trick is to apply it and set it with your powder blush.
