Color Your Skin’s Flaws

Although makeup concealers can do great jobs in hiding spots, dark circles, pimples, scars and many other imperfections in our skin, we always look for better results because our perfectionism plays a quintessential role in our beauty routine. Since the usual concealer cannot hide a nasty imperfection, a new trend is rising in the beauty industry and makes of colors a solution for this annoying problem.

All skin flaws are usually color-related, think of bluish under-eye circles, blemishes and birthmarks to name a few. What if we tell you that all of the aforementioned problems can be fixed with four colors? Let’s start by explaining how things work when it comes to neutralizing imperfections. Like in fashion, complementary colors are the ones that appear opposite on the color wheel. For example, blue neutralizes orange, green neutralizes red and so on… Start off by covering the spot with the right color, apply your foundation and you’re all set.

While apricot concealer is ideal for dark skin tones, reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation and tones down the appearance of olive-toned dark circles, the yellow one is recommended for light skin tones, erases dark circles under the eyes and blood vessels and revives the bluish tone of the lips. The blue concealer is used for more targeted actions such as invigorating tired, yellowish skin in order to boost radiance. Finally, to hide redness due to heating, visible blood vessels or blemishes, opt for the green concealer.

With these easy tips, hiding flaws could never get simpler and more effective!
