BVLGARI Resort Dubai Welcomes a New Culinary Experience

A new culinary hotspot, Hōseki, has brought a new twist to the already luxurious BVLGARI Resort Dubai. Translating into “gemstone” in Japanese, Hōseki is considered a new dining experience that prides itself with uniqueness and an ultra-exclusive surrounding.

The culinary journey kicks off with a meal overlooking Dubai’s skyline, as Japanese Chef Masahiro Sugiyama offers a memorable gastronomic treat with top-notch ingredients imported directly from Japan. The latter also offers a two hour Omakase experience – alluding to a “I leave it to you” discovery concept where he selects the dishes to create a tailor-made experience – in line with legendary Japanese traditions.

The Japanese reception area called Tokonoma welcomes guests into a dedicated modern and minimal interior embellished with polished furnishings, dark wood touches and a warm color palette. Iconic cultural references such as the Bonsai plant and the power stones are lavishly highlighted, while Japanese hostesses in traditional kimonos greet guests unto the Japanese style open counter to enjoy the chef’s unique “art pieces”. A setting that is truly ideal for a romantic dinner or even a special occasion. A bigger seating area is reserved for larger gatherings, known as the private dining room which can host up to 12 guests with a 360° view over the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline.

Behind Chef Masahiro Sugiyama’s expertise, hide 157 years of family sushi traditions. And so, the talented chef transports his guests into a wondrous culinary journey to an extraordinary cuisine of various dining experiences named after special gemstones in Japanese. The lunch is named KOHAKU which means Amber, while dinner guests can select either HISUI, meaning Jade, or RURI for Lapis Lazuli gemstone.

Located on the 4th floor of the hotel, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, five days a week and closes on Sundays and Mondays, with a no walk-in policy, as reservations are a must.
