Beauty Tip of the Week – Monochromatic Makeup

This season, many designers have chosen the monochromatic look on the runways. The elements here are natural, radiant, and sophisticated. The idea is to shift away from an overload of colors, and use one color for the key features of the face which are the lips, cheeks and eyes.

Step 1: Choose a shade that works for you. Shades of peach, sheer berry, rose, and browns are ideal.

Step 2: Prep your skin to keep it hydrated, followed by your foundation of choice.

Step 3: Give your skin a subtle highlight and contour for structure.

Step 4: Take your color of choice and give your eyes a good application of color. Tap your eyeshadow on the lids and blend it in slightly intensifying it through the crease. No hard lines and intense color.

Step 5: Add on some blush of the same color on the apples of the cheeks. A cool idea would be using a cream blush for a change as this can also be used on the eyes and lips as well! This works if you are looking for a dewy look thanks to its creamy texture.

Step 6: Dab a soft touch of color on your lips; of course, the same color story as eyes and cheek .

Step 7: How about taking this look from daytime to evening? It’s simple! Add a dash of eye liner, and extra mascara and there you have it; clean, neat, and fresh Monochromatic!
