Beauty Tip of the Week – Body Makeup

Body makeup is amazing; it works miracles in perfecting your skin and even makes you look like those Victoria’s Secret models strutting down the runway. Not only does it help make your skin look flawlessly stunning, it also hides blemishes and tattoos you might want to conceal completely, and gives you that extra glow and tan when you have a special occasion during the winter.
That said, I've been a fan of body makeup from day one, the only problem was that it was not a major trend, hence why products and colors were very limited. But times have now changed, and the makeup industry is so massive we can find anything and everything we need to perfect that body glow, and here I have narrowed down some tips and top product choices for body makeup.

1. Be sure to scrub your skin in the shower and follow with a moisturizer for skin prep. Definitely add a primer on the area you want to conceal.

2. When it comes to tattoos or marks you want to conceal completely, look no further than Kat Von D's Lock It Foundation or Concealer. This guarantees complete coverage and works on tattoos too. Also, Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage for Face and Body by Estée Laude does wonders. The trick is to dab it on gradually until full coverage is achieved. Follow with a setting powder.

3. For flawless and glowing skin, I like all Over body foundations. My top picks are Face and Body foundation by MAC Cosmetics. This is a cult classic and comes in a variety of shades. This is perfect for photo shoots too. Also, Air Brush Legs by Sally Hansen is a must have if you simply want flawless looking skin and an extra glow.

4. For the occasional blemish or pigmentation you wish to cover quickly and effectively (mainly shoulders, back, legs), Quick Fix Body Stick by Dermablend is super convenient. Just pop it in your bag and retouch any time of the day!

5. Last but not least, when the party's over and it’s time to take off that body makeup, keep in mind that you will need a much stronger wash than your regular cleansers. Opt for oil or cream based cleansers which are made for longwearing products and give a good deep cleanse.
