All things shine, sparkle and metal will always be here to stay, of course when applied in moderation.
Gold is a beautiful Metallic color to play with, regardless of skin tone - There is a gold for everyone.
Here are some rules and tips, and different ways to play up your gold:
1. Keep it very subtle and apply it on key areas only. Gold makes for a beautiful color as an eye shadow on the entire lid, or simply, just a pop of gold on inner corners of your eyes. A little bit goes a long way.
2. Given the many choices of eye shadows and products, opting for a crushed pigment formula is a good idea in this case as it allows you to play with the intensity of color. Also, pigments can be mixed with liquids to create a whole new formula with shimmer and extra intensity.
3. Nothing beats a dash of gold on the centre of your lips, lets say a finish to your lipstick. Also using a powder pigment formula...apply a tiny amount and see the difference...not only will it look dazzling, but also give your lips a fuller look.
4. Gold highlighting powders work great on the apples of the cheeks for a whimsical glow. Nothing too much of course, just a gentle amount blended near your bronzer or blush. Many highlighting powders are available in 3D formulas meaning they give off a subtle pearl like finish.
5. A light gold looks beautiful when applied onto cupids bow, giving a beautiful definition to your lip shape, and a perfect finish to your lipstick application.
6. Last but not least, Gold shimmer always looked beautiful on the body too...especially when dusted on the collar bone or shoulders!
