Your Way to Getting a Perfect and Safe Tan

Your journey towards getting the perfect tan is well underway. However, you always need to put your safety and health first – don’t you agree? Well, getting the perfect tan safely might be harder than we all might think, but we’re definitely ready to get ourselves a new routine if this will give us that glowing long-lasting sun-kissed skin that we’ve been dreaming of all winter long!

  • First and foremost, you must avoid sunbeds at any cost because due to exposing you to the wrong UV rays, they can cause skin cancer.
  • Getting tanned doesn’t mean that you should not apply sunscreen on your body. In fact, applying sunscreen every 2 hours will prevent your skin from getting burned and might slow down the process of getting darker but at the end of the day, you will realize that your tan will last longer – so, it’s kind of worth it!
  • Exfoliating your skin is a must and on a regular basis. Use a gentle exfoliator to prevent dead skin from blocking the rays. This will also help you avoid an uneven tan!
  • Keep in mind that red is definitely not your color, so make sure not to stay in the sun for more than three hours and avoid tanning between 12 pm and 3pm.
  • When tanning, don’t forget to move around in order to keep your entire body exposed to the sun. Switching sides every 15 to 30 minutes can be a great strategy.
  • Moisturizing your skin is essential before and after tanning!
  • Drink a lot of water, because you don’t want your body to get dehydrated; you just need your skin to get tanned.
