On this beautiful Sunday, Pierpaolo Piccioli unveiled Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Ready-to-Wear collection and it was a treat for sore eyes. Everything about the show was truly fabulous, but perhaps the most phenomenal thing about it was the fact that the designer had used models from all walks of life. He defied the norms of fashion and unveiled a collection as sensual and romantic as the brand itself. Indeed, the models wore a series of black pieces that were highlighted with bright red accessories, from black capes with red gloves to a corset-like leather dress paired with red pumps. Also, the leather-game was truly on point, what with the whirlpool of leather dresses and sensual ensembles. Along came more colorful pieces, such as a red midi dress layered with a matching turtleneck, a red leather coat and a see-through tulle ruffled dress. There was one particular red cape-dress that struck a lot of chords, alongside a slew of beige and floral outfits. Did someone say romanticism?
