Anthony Vaccarello’s Fall/Winter 2020-2021 collection was meant to make you feel like you can do anything you have your heart set on…should you be rocking a vinyl piece. Sounds familiar enough? Actually, we’ve all been pining over a sultry pair of latex trousers. But these bad boys never looked as fabulous as they looked with the designer’s genius creations for Saint Laurent. So what did the Saint Laurent woman look like this season?
Well long story short, she looked like an 80s inspired diva ready to conquer the world. But let’s talk clothes. The designer sent out models in high-rise, fit-forming latex trousers – all of which were beautifully balanced with oversized, sharp blazers and pussy-bow blouses. The oversized blazers were shining with flashy colors, from red checks to yellow hues to more funky tones. Along came other colored vinyl trousers – think pink, burgundy, violet and so forth – that were beautifully matched with contrasting colors at times, and large furred coats at other times. Of course, there was the iconic series of Little Black Dresses that highlighted the House’s knack for glamor and helped us complete our must-have list for the next season.
