It’s at the heart of Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace that Ralph Lauren celebrated 50 great decades in the making. Pegged as one of New York City’s most inspirational landmark, the location was alight with majestic decorations, welcoming stars and elites from all around, with the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Pierce Brosnan sitting at the front row.
On this special day, the designer showcased for the very first time, four brands from his world. The result was – safe to say – quite dashing, with famous models such as the gorgeous GigiHadidand Kaia Gerber strutting their good looks and the House’s irreverent class down the runway. Master of celebrating the American style, the designer showcased sequined slip dresses topped with flannels and a typical American buckle belt at times, and coats with special embroideries at other times.
There were varsity jackets with the brand’s logo on them, berets that spelled out “Polo Ralph Lauren “ and oversized knits that had the horse logo featured on a big scale. To top it all off, Gigi Hadid came out wearing a gown exploding in patchworks and colors, proving that more is more.
On this very day, the whole world celebrated half a century of Ralph Lauren, and it was epic.
