Oscar De La Renta Spring-Summer 2019 Collection

With Bella Hadid opening the show, who wouldn’t be going all gaga over Fernando Garcia’s representation of the Oscar De La Renta woman and a savvy world tour with the brand?

Indeed, for Spring-Summer 2019, Garcia brought back the world’s mightiest civilizations together to design a collection like no other – think Greek togas, Persian-inspired dresses and fringed pieces. There were striped kaftans, white tunics on loose colored pants and of course, the brand’s moniker fit and flare dresses. The pieces were so fresh and summer-ish that one could already dwell over the sweet memories of the hot season. Crochet dresses were obviously a thing, but this time around, they were paired with blazers and strappy sandals. Along came the evening gowns in a lovely color palette, as elegant leaves wrapped the models’ bodies, while feathers decorated the pieces with nothing less than sophistication.
