Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2023 Ready-to-Wear

For Miucia Prada, looking is a window of thinking and to transform perception, workmanship is the way to proceed. For Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection, proportions are altered through design and cut, shapes exaggerated, and fabrics layered and fused to affect the rapport of garments with the body.

After a deep examination, clothes were shifted not only in structure, but also in their placement on the body. Familiar items of clothing – think twinsets, knee-length skirts and hooded sweatshirts – were allocated different strengths and fragilities through their fabrication. And to further influence the notion of perception, transparent chiffon revealed clothes that are usually hidden, resulting in exposed stockings and overlaid dresses.

Alongside the installation of South Korean artist Geumhyung Jeong, the raised walkways offered a better observation of the models and allowed a better exploration of the relationship between the body and clothing. This is how Miu Miu turned fashion into an invitation to think!
