Hats are the kind of accessories that can never go unnoticed in an outfit. They are in fact the epitome of style and can add an unparalleled fashionable flair to your looks regardless of the occasion. Whether you’re going to spend the day at the beach, out for a brunch with your besties or attending a special occasion such as a wedding or a graduation, there are options for every kind of outfits. However, here’s something we should all know: it is essential to choose the style that flaunts your face in order to pack the statement you’re looking for! So, ladies, here are some helpful tips:

-The first rule is to match your hat with your physique. This glamorous accessory should balance out your dimensions. For a lengthening effect, opt for hats with tall crowns and upturned brims, as wide and down turned brims can make you appear shorter.

-Make sure that your hat’s brim is not wider than your shoulders.

-If you have a large build, opt for larger hats. Small ones are perfect for petites!

-Determine your face shape in order to choose the right hat. And to do so, pull your hair back and make your neck visible. Using a liner or a lipstick, mark the top of your hairline, the widest point of your cheekbones, your temples, your jaw line and the bottom of your chin with a dot and check the shape you get. If you get the shape of a diamond, many are the styles that suit you as long as you avoid small brims and high crowns. Those with oval faces are quite lucky for being able to wear any style if they avoid very wide brims. Square faces look pretty balanced in soft designs, while round ones call for structured hats with wide brims, angular and asymmetric styles. And for triangle faces, hats with high crowns and small brims are best.

-Stay true to your personal style. Whether yours is bohemian, boyish, rock or anything in-between, choose a hat that says who you are in order to rock your look!
