Let’s Get to Know Guerlain

Since day one, Guerlain has been conserving its heritage while adding a notch of audacity to its forward-thinking approach. As a House who took France as its home since 1828, Guerlain did not limit itself to one country and reached around 80 markets across the world. Today, as it continues with its manufacturing traditions, the House’s production still takes place at two sites in France: fragrance is produced in Orphin, Yvelines, and skincare and makeup in Chartres, Eure-et-Loir.

Guerlain uses artisanal expertise and cutting-edge technology at the same time, and considers hands-on techniques indispensable to the production process. The elders have trained few artisans, but the House keeps on carrying on their distinguished craftsmanship, that is why for example Guerlain preserves a range of age-old techniques for embellishing its perfect fragrance bottles with Sylvie Romet as the trainer of the new Dames de Table. That being said, it comes as no surprise that Guerlain has been awarded the “Living Heritage Company” for its distinguished expertise.
