Keep Your Skin Radiant During Ramadan

Ramadan is just around the corner and you need to get yourself ready – beauty wise. Taking into consideration the hot weather and the fact that you’re fasting all day long, your skin will need much more love and care than you think. In fact, the below tips will not only help you keep your skin healthy during this Holy Month, but will also give you the chance to detox it.

First of all, hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more! In fact, you should drink at least 8 glasses of water between Iftar and Suhoor. This is not all, as it’s also important to cut down on dehydrating drinks such as soda, juices and caffeine. And since we know how important coffee is to you, we suggest you drink more than 8 water glasses to compensate.

As far as your nutrition goes, it’s highly recommended that during Iftar and Suhoor you consume foods rich in fiber and antioxidants that make your skin glow, such as berries, almonds and pomegranate. These will do wonders to your skin after an entire day of fasting!

During Ramadan, your skin gets dehydrated due to fasting so it’s important to avoid over-washing your face. If you need to refresh, consider using a facial spray that you can put in the fridge for additional coolness.

Sunscreen should always be an essential part of your routine, so imagine its benefits when you’re spending the whole day without food and water! With that in mind, you’ll need one that is at least SPF 30, and you’ll have to apply it every three hours to keep your skin hydrated and protected.

The last thing that will keep your skin healthy during the Holy Month is an efficient skin care routine. Think regular exfoliation, facemask once or twice and hydrating products that suit your skin type.
