Incorporate Color Into your Closet

This goes without saying, but black is by far the easiest and most wearable color to date. It literally goes with everything, works for any occasion and most importantly, makes us look slimmer – thank you very much. But does it truly reflect our personality?

While there is no concrete reason as to why you shouldn’t wear black, it seems that this year’s rage is more towards colors than black. Designers have embraced it, models have worn it and fashion influencers swear by it. So is there any more reason for you to brighten up your day with colorful outfits? We think not!

Our obsession with black clothes should seriously come to a slight end as we welcome colors into our lives in the most fashionable ways. Scroll down to follow our golden rules!

  1. Since we’re betting you’re an all-black kind of person, we suggest you start off with little pops of colors. Instill your outfit with colorful shoes, bags, scarves belts or statement accessories.
  2. Put your black clothes in the very back of your closet.
  3. Go for prints with a black base – to kick-start the changing process – and you’ll find yourself getting used to the idea in no time.
  4. Wear colors that go well with your skin-tone – it will be much easier for you to find yourself in your outfit.
  5. Start with light colors such as beige and pastels. The colder the color is to your eyes at first, the better.
  6. Once you get used to the idea, you can go ahead and switch to brighter tones and warmer colors.
