After listening to the endless stories of his mum – who worked in the film industry as an assistant in a production company – about Hollywood, Alessandro Michele was amazed by the unique charm this city carries. For him, it was a dream factory, a land of fairytales that he brought to life in a sparkling fashion show as truthful to its glamour as it was to the values of Gucci.
Hollywood, which was his escape and desertion when he needed to breathe at his squat in the outskirts of Rome, is now how he chose to celebrate this new chapter in his adventure. With his mom and her precious legacy in mind, the designer not only dreamed about the world of cinema, but also embodied it in a collection infused with the magnificence of this world of celebrities and the magic and timelessness the city of angels unfolds.
