“Bleached Canvas”. That’s the name of Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 2019 Haute Couture collection by Clare Waight Keller and that’s the exclusive video that the Maison has unveiled for that occasion.

On the runway, the clothes reflected a fresh start translated into architectural, flared evening gowns in Givenchy red and cobalt blue. In this scenario, the designer’s marvelous couture creations move from blue through a prism of color and back again to blue set against a surreal cloudscape. It’s here and there that the Givenchy army drifts through the “Bleached Canvas” in perfect harmony…then in discord. The surrealistic montage comes to life in a series of saturated colors, highlighted by a sequined jacket, a latex top and a black gown. The result? A tableau that captures Clare Waight Keller’s vision of powerful, graceful femininity.
