At its new temporary store at its flagship location in The Dubai Mall, Tiffany & Co. launched “Follow the Bird”, a first-of-its-kind augmented-reality experience. The House invites you to follow its iconic “Bird on a Rock” brooch, designed by Jean Schlumberger – one of the 20th century’s most gifted artists known for his bold creativity and unfettered imagination – on a journey that unfolds in three chapters from New York to Dubai, magically transforming each city’s skyline and landscape from one window to another.
The execution came to life in collaboration with local United Arab Emirates artist Diaa Allam – whose artworks will also be displayed at the store. For this project, the artist has created three-dimensional designs of the Empire State Building and Burj Khalifa inscribed with Arabic calligraphy to capture words like “diamonds,” “love,” “legendary” and “Dubai”, thus reinventing the traditional form of Arabic calligraphy.
Available until the end of November in Dubai before travelling to various Tiffany & Co. stores across Europe, “Follow the Bird” is not to be missed. This is definitely a new and exciting chapter for the House in the Middle East to admire!
