Once again set in the Musee Rodin, Dior’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2018-2019 was an absolute sight for sore eyes for celebrity show-goers Katie Holmes, Karlie Kloss and Kate Bosworth, amongst others. The collection, which celebrated the House’s Ateliers, was one of perfect minimalism. Colors included dusty pinks, pale orange and lots of powdery hues, on elegantly understated pieces. When asked about the collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri said:
“We are in this time where the idea of couture sometimes is wrong because people believe that couture is expensive so it has to be visible. We have to try to explain that couture is another story.” And what a story this collection told!
