Chloé Presents Its Spring 2022 Collection

Pursuing its commitment to positive environmental and social impact highlighted in its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Chloé unveiled its marvels for Spring 2022. With the focus on measurable season-over-season improvement, designer Gabriela Hearst used lower-impact materials – think organic silk, recycled cashmere or deadstock constituting 55% of the pieces. This is not all, as 15 % of the collection is manufactured by WFTO fair trade-guaranteed members, Akanjo and Manos del Uruguay, while Made 51 initiative created by the United Nations Refugee Agency is providing embellishment on handbags – earning refugee women from Afghanistan income from this project.

“I couldn’t start this journey at Chloé without love being the emotion as a driver,” says Gabriela and with this in mind, the collection carried romantic representations reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the twentieth century manifested as a response to the dehumanizing effects of the Industrial Revolution. The Denim Project joins this environmental friendly manifestation while addressing an essential in every woman’s wardrobe. Developed in collaboration with Adriano Goldschmied, Chloé further explores through it circularity and authenticity.

In fact, between the climate crisis and the digital revolution the world is witnessing today, this collection gives us the hope of a Neo-Renaissance that brings together creativity and science.
