A single model, sixties looks and a whole lot of creativity in one book! That’s actually quite impressive, as editorial makeup artist Toni Malt, does what’s almost impossible when it comes to femininity and beauty. With the model as her palette, Malt does magic.

This book is one-of-a-kind and for many reasons. In fact, it’s not a mere celebration of makeup as an art, as it also counts the inspiration behind every makeup look, as well as the application process and detailed information about the products used in their creation. In addition, the photos are quite generous in highlighting the artist’s mastery of color, technique and balance.

Ranging from soft to chic, colorful and eerie, the looks use stencils, Swarovski crystals, temporary tattoos, glitters, craft tools and hardware instead of tools that can only be found in makeup counters. Eyes, lips and sometimes the entire face constitute the main focus of the look, making the makeup concept a way of transformation that goes beyond the ordinary.
