So unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you probably already know that the iconic Raf Simons has joined the House of Prada as co-creative director alongside Miuccia Prada. The mutual collaboration didn’t come as much of a surprise to us since the two fashion figureheads have had a close relationship ever since Simons was creative director of Jil Sander, which was also owned by the Prada group. The duo will therefore be unveiling their first ever joint collection in September, presenting the Spring-Summer 2021 ready-to-wear Prada line. With that in mind, we can’t help but reminisce over Raf Simon’s tumultuous fashion career, as the famous designer not only owns his own eponymous brand, but has also created wonders and built empires with one too many fashion Houses.
