Winter Shoes Edition - The Do’s and Don’ts

We’re going to level with you; finding the perfect winter shoes can be quite a pickle. I mean, come on, what if your socks show? What color should you get? Is the fabric too bright for the season?

One thing is for sure, you don’t have to sacrifice your style for the cold weather. It all comes down to finding the perfect shoe-outfit combination and of course, finding the right balance in terms of length, colors and feel.

So before you jump on a one-way train to Panick-town, relax and bear in mind that there are styles you shouldn’t be caught dead wearing, while there are others that will make you go all topsy-turvy. Either way, the overwhelming task can be extremely smooth with the right guidelines.

Do pick warm materials such as suede or leather. They will protect you from the cold and the fabric is so in and so nice!

But if it’s raining, don’t get all hopped up on suede, as the rain will definitely ruin the material!

Do go for taller styles, such as over-the-knee boots. They go well with literally any look and will make you look that much taller.

Don’t wear thick socks with summery shoes. Ever.

Do create some oomph with colorful shoes, whatever they may be. Coloring is always a good idea.

Do pick chunky heels as they get you through the rain in elegance and style.

If you’re wearing open-toe sandals, we do suggest you choose velvet ones by pairing them with tights and a cute skirt or dress.

If you’re into the rocker-chic style, then do go for low leather boots and throw on a leather jacket while you’re at it!

Do keep in mind that this season, mini-block heels are your friends.
