Tips for the Perfect Bridal Makeup

Your wedding day is the most important one for you. You have dreamt about it since you were a child and now it’s getting closer and closer, so you’re doing your best to make sure it’s perfect. Your dress is one that best reflects your personality, your bouquet is ideal, so are your shoes and everything that comes with them.

However, you have one concern: your makeup. You might be wondering how to make it last for the whole day and how to avoid smudging problems, so we are here to give you some useful tips.

– If your wedding is taking place on a warm day, consider using as many oil-free products as possible.

– Since the camera will be following you everywhere you go and will tone down your look, you will need to put on a little more makeup than you normally do.

– Make sure to cleanse and moisturize your skin really well before applying your makeup, and keep in mind that the use of a primer is essential before applying foundation as it will make your makeup last much longer.

– Never use your fingers to apply foundation, but opt for a brush or a sponge to get a smoothly finished look and avoid fingerprints.

– After you even out your skin by applying your moisturizer, primer and foundation, apply your concealer, noting that the one used on the face should be oil-free while the one for your eyes should be creamy.

– Use an eyeshadow primer to ensure a smudge-free makeup.

– A creamy blush provides you with a natural makeup look, as it is sheer and looks healthy and fresh. Smile so the apples of your cheeks pop out and apply, then blend it onto your temples.

– Filling your brows with a brow pencil is absolutely necessary on your wedding day in order to frame your eyes, so go for a shade or two lighter than your natural brow color.

– For your eyeliner, avoid using the pencil as it can sometimes disappear and opt instead for a more long-lasting oily and waxy texture. Also, make sure to fill the roots of your lashes while applying it in order to make them look thicker.

– Darker eyeshadows are to be used on the outer corner of the eye, as this trick will make them look bigger. Use a light shimmery powder in the inner corner to make them look brightened and awake.

– Use a lash curler to curl your lashes at the roots, at the middle and at the tip by squeezing lightly.

– To make your eyes look big and even more captivating, use false eyelashes. A full lash strip perfectly completes a sultry or glamorous look, while individual false lashes give you a more subtle finish.

– Make sure all the products you use are waterproof.

– For the lips, start off by applying a lip balm before getting to the lipstick or the lip gloss so they don’t look dry. Fill in your entire lip with a lip pencil as it will make the lipstick last longer, especially if you are wearing lip gloss.

– Our last tip for you is to avoid making drastic changes in your look before the big day, such as changing your hair color or getting facial fillers. Things don’t always turn out well and you don’t want any big, unpleasant surprises on your special day!
