Summer Packing – The Do’s and Don’ts

Summer is well underway and the vacations you’ve planned are getting closer by the minute. The only thing that’s instantly setting red flags is the matter of packing. If you’re anything like us, packing light has never been your forte. There are just so many endless wardrobe-related choices, that narrowing down your options is just impossible! What if you rip one of your shirts? Or worse, what if you -sigh- change your mind at the last minute?

Rest assured ladies, this is just your mind setting traps for you. The only thing you should consider is that you should always pack as if you were going backpacking- ergo, light and breezy. In other words, pack like a pro, or forever be doomed to carry your heavy suitcases.

Do make a list. Pinpointing your must-haves and checking them is a must.

Don’t be unreasonable. If you never wear an item, you will not wear it while on vacation, no matter how much you convince yourself.

Do pick a maximum of 2 pairs of shoes to match your outfits. Sneakers for the day and a pair of nude sandals for the night to go with everything.

Don’t forget about space optimizing. Roll your clothes instead of folding them and watch magic happen!

Do consider mixing and matching. You can wear the same skirt with different tops, or the same top with different trousers. Creativity is key!

Don’t forget to pack two bags, a casual one for your daytime adventures and another small one for your evening outings.
