Say it with lips, scripts, arrows and hearts

As we scoured the globe for an enchanting treasure trove of jewelry gift ideas for the day of love– we discovered the beautiful envelope and heart charms by Harry Winston, paved with shimmering diamonds.

We got into a tizzy as we spotted the Nuri cockatoo ring by Boucheron, which features the two little birds cuddling together atop a pink gold ring. The parrot’s plumage is adorned with diamonds, tsavorites and sapphires, evoking the elements of life – sun, water and fire. Next up our favorite list is Chopard’s Happy Hearts collection of earrings, pendants and bracelets – a stylish and classic celebration of love, along with Dior’s fine jewelry from their Rose Dior Pré Catelan and Rose des Vents collections.

There is more precious fine jewelry like the Amullete de Cartier talismans from Cartier, resembling a padlock that is designed to hold “luck and unlock your wishes.” Interestingly, Bulgari’s successful collection Bvlgari-Bvlagri Cuore prompted the brand to write a “contemporary love story” with two bold interpretations this year. Both the new versions are pretty. Love flowers? Then, buy a bejeweled one: Martin Katz has a gem embellished tulip ruby brooch, which makes for a romantic gift.

To celebrate the season of love, we also chose playful, fun, edgy and quirky fine jewelry designs with lips, hearts, red apples, arrows, script motifs, soaring birds, flowers and crescent moon motif.

Alison Lou Chemla’s jewelry is all about cheeky meanings, flirty winks, hearts, luscious red lips, love struck and bashful smiley faces accented with diamonds and rubies – the kind of playful jewelry that makes you smile. Jeweler Aida Bergensen draws inspirations from her home country Turkey to craft a pretty bird chain and stud earrings, while Diane Kordas designs elegant pieces like her heartbeat, love bangles and phrases jewelry with pop art references. Elena Votsi joins the creative trend with her gem sprinkled hearts and crisscross arrow jewels. We love her Eros Arrows of Love bracelet inspired by strong emotions.

A celebrity favorite, Sydney Evan by Rosanne Karmes features jewelry crafted with precious and semi-precious stones that have a whimsical touch. Sydney Evan script motif pendants, rings and earrings are pieces that, we promise, will never date. On our list is a diamond lips necklace by Milka Karaağaçlı. Are we glad that she left her advertising career behind to craft jewels under the label Kismet by Milka! Her collection comprises delicate, impactful jewels that focus on a strong color palette.
Talking about color and lips and how could we not include the contemporary Harlequin lips cuff by Sabine G? Her designs, inspired by her travels and beautiful medieval relics, are a show stealer. Another celebrity favorite is Holly Dyment. Noted for her gemstone and enamel jewelry with geometric shapes, she dreams up edgy, quirky motifs in a riot of color. We dig the lip ring that reminds us of an artwork.

Garrard, Azza Fahmy, Stephen Webster, Francesca Grima, Natasha Zinko, Me&Ro by Robin Renzi, Bee Goddess by Ece Sirin, Bil Arabi by Nadine Kanso, Leopizzo and Falamank have statement pieces inspired from the day of love and that are worth checking out.

While most of the jewels featured in our gallery are available at the brand’s boutique and designer’s salon, some of the playful pieces can be bought from the online jewelry destination Stone&Strand. Do step into Bloomingdales in Dubai for more jewelry options inspired by the day of love.
