Sail away in Montenegro

Have you decided what you want to do this summer? How about learning how to sail in Porto Montenegro? Sounds like fun? It is, if you’ve always loved the seas. Time to learn the ropes; for exploring the Adriatic Sea is a great way to embark on a love affair with sailing.

Regent Porto Montenegro has partnered up with Porto Montenegro Yacht Club to offer sailing packages: the ‘Sail and (Learn How to) Sail Package’ consists of four-hours of sailing lessons, by highly trained experts, on board one of the club’s fleet of Blu26 yachts (8m sport sailing boat) and three days of sailing experience. Else, sign up for the six days and five nights ‘Stay and Sail Away Package,’ and set out to discover the South Adriatic.

Located mid-way between Greece and Venice, Montenegro is a hub for sailing enthusiasts. Foodies can sample the rustic cuisine at the seaside cafes and restaurants. Get out and about in the marina, discover the sun soaked coastline dotted with coves and beaches, and when you crave for entertainment, head to Lido Pool Club and Restaurant. The Tivat Bay and the scenic views of the marina against the backdrop of the mountains provide the perfect setting for the Lido club and its 64-m infinity pool that cantilevers over the sea.

Wondering where to stay? An obvious choice is the luxurious waterfront property Regent Porto Montenegro. This family-friendly escape – nestled on the palm-lined shores – comes highly recommended. The impeccably styled, nautically themed rooms on offer include 57 double rooms along with 30 one-to-three bedroom suites and residences.

Getting there: Fly in to the international airports – Tivat, Dubronovik or Podgorica – which offer connections for charter and scheduled airlines. You could also fly in your private aircraft, as landing facilities are also available. Helicopter transfers to the marina are a quick way to get to your destination.
