Lanvin Selects Olivier Lapidus as New Creative Director

Following the stepping down of former Creative Director Bouchra Jarrar, Lanvin has announced that Olivier Lapidus will be taking over the reins of the French House

« It is a great honor to join Lanvin and I warmly thank Madame Wang for placing her confidence in me. With nearly 130 years of history, Lanvin is the oldest French

Couture house. To ensure its longevity is an immense task and an exciting challenge», says Olivier Lapidus.

The designer was previously the Creative Director of Balmain Homme and went on to create his own brand Maison Lapidus. He recently launched the first e-couture house “Olivier Lapidus Creation” before joining Lavin’s team. Lapidus is the son of famed fashion designer Ted Lapidus, whose creations were widely worn by big names such as Brigitte Bardot and John Lennon.

« I welcome Olivier Lapidus as Lanvin artistic director whose creative capacity is in direct line with the elegance embodied by Jeanne Lanvin,” says Madame Shaw-Lan Wang, President of Lanvin.

Olivier Lapidus will be presenting his first Spring-Summer 2018 women ready-to-wear collection for Lanvin in September.
