Kate Winslet Visits Longines’ Head Office

As its Ambassador of Elegance, Longines welcomed Kate Winslet to its head office in Saint-Imier for the first time since she joined the brand’s family in 2010. During her visit to the Longines Museum, she tapped a watch from the Flagship collection. This piece will be re-issued to benefit the Golden Hat Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to change the public’s perception of people with autism that she co-founded in 2010.

Six years have passed and Kate Winslet has been embodying through her quintessential British spirit Longine’s motto, “Elegance is an attitude”. Honoured to welcome her to the place where the brand saw the light in 1832, the President of Longines Walter von Känel accompanied the magnificent actress through her journey in the brand’s world.  After the visit of the museum and the tour along the worktables where Longines’ creations are delicately crafted, the British actress met the employees.

“I was delighted to learn that Longines is so in touch with its rich history, from which it draws inspiration for creating new works of art that adhere to its values. I am deeply grateful to Longines for the support they have shown for the Golden Hat Foundation, an organization that is dear to my heart, by re-issuing the watch that I have chosen today. It makes me incredibly proud to be able to contribute to raising public awareness of the situation that face people with autism. I believe that these individuals will greatly benefit from the possibility of learning to communicate, of receiving academic training and of developing real social relationships,” she expressed.

With such an initiative and so many common values, it is only natural to say that Longines and Kate Winslet are a match made in heaven!
