IWC Schaffhausen’s Da Vinci Kind of Year

History creates icons and IWC Schaffhausen’s Da Vinci watches truly are ones. First established in 1969 and gaining fame in 1985 with the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar, this collection has met huge success and reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to classic proportions after the takeover of the tonneau case. These timepieces stay truthful to their history through their twin-frame bezel and the peripheral groove.

With the brand’s major focus on ladies’ watches this year, most of the collection’s pieces are dedicated to women. Two models set the tone for IWC’s horological year, which are the Da Vinci Automatic 36 and the Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36. The latters are not only slimmer and smaller, but also have a more feminine appeal. Gold cases, diamond-set bezels and fashionable alligator straps by Santoni with colors ranging from raspberry to bronze, dark brown and dark blue highlight the watches’ aesthetic.

In addition, IWC has two high horology timepieces to present: the Da Vinci Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph – featuring an unusual combination of a classic tourbillon, a retrograde date and a sporty chronograph on a single dial, and the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, which is the first IWC watch to combine the mechanical chronograph with a perpetual moon phase display in a new complication module.

With much excitement, we would like you to join us in the Photo Gallery below and get a glimpse of the stunning Da Vinci novelties.
