Behind every fragrance lies a story and Hermès’ new perfume has a new story to tell. Through a symphony of harmonious scents, a new olfactory marvel revives a past that is still memorable today in the language of perfumer Christine Nagel.

It all started with an English lord during an excursion on gondola. Tired of seeing nothing but water, he expressed his desire for a garden at the heart of Venice, a green oasis filled with blooming, fragrant flowers. Protected by ochre walls, it was a place bursting with happiness, sweetness and delightful scents. With this scene in mind, Nagel brought together the sweet scents of nostalgia without sadness with scents of rebirth and eternity. Woody notes mingle with dreamy Salicornia, pittosporums, Madonna lilies and magnolias to create a celestial fragrance that depict this beautiful Venetian garden.

In fact, this dreamy garden is nothing less than Hermès’ new addition of the garden-fragrances collection, “Un Jardin sur la Lagune”.
