Gucci Takes Over New York City

This year, Gucci continues its journey with a new partnership – fashionably taking over New York City. The Italian brand’s new collaboration with one of the leaders in hand-painted outdoor advertising Colossal Media, produced the 2500 square-foot wall located in the heart of Soho on Lafayette Street.

Highlighting the beauty and the uniqueness of the almost forgotten art of hand-painted outdoor advertising, the wall serves as a black canvas for the San Francisco-based illustrator Jayde Fish – waiting for a variety of collaborations  that will be revealed throughout the year. Fish’s work was discovered by Creative Director Alessandro Michele through her Instagram page, and her illustrations were featured on many creations of the women’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection.

Painted over the course of 6 days, this illustration’s debut coincided with the beginning of New York Fashion Week on February 6th and will remain until March 31st. Celebrate the wall with Gucci by using Fish’s unique geofilter on Snapchat!
