Gucci Announces its Tribeca Documentary Fund Grantees

On July 30th, Italian luxury label Gucci and Tribeca Film Institute revealed the 2015 grant recipients for the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund. The AOL Charitable Foundation joined the duo and presented its own grants to four filmmakers whose documentaries illuminate the lives of women and youth around the globe.

The jury –which included filmmakers Rachel Boynton and Gia Coppola, along with Dyllan McGee, Charlie Phillips and Debbie Zimmerman– selected ten out of the 540 submissions to receive $150,000 in grants, as well as year-round support and guidance.

“We’re so proud of our grantees this year and believe that the selection of works addresses compelling and personal stories that bring attention to various domestic and international social issues,” expressed Jose Rodriguez, Director of Documentary Programs at Tribeca Film Institute.
