Glam up with Exotic Cuffs

It’s Spring season and that colourful time of the year when weddings are always round the corner. Now for all those pre-wedding bashes, parties, glam evenings, we reckon you’ll be checking out the runway styles and SS16 trends. If you decide to sparkle up your gown with jewelry, we suggest you go for gem-adorned cuffs and ornate bangle-bracelet styles.

When it comes to understated elegance, pearls lead the way. Admittedly, our choice is Chanel’s diamond and pearl Manchette Signature De Perles cuff bracelet. Our top favourites include Cartier’s diamond spattered Étourdissant Clarté cuff featuring a gorgeous Columbian emerald, the standout piece by David Morris with a voluptuous 58.89ct cushion-cut diamond set on a pink diamond bangle and one of Cartier’s older offerings with 16 carved pink sapphires, ruby beads, moonstones and diamonds.

We adore Chopard’s exotic cuff bracelet unveiled recently at the Paris Haute Couture Week – set in 18k white gold and titanium, it is embellished with amethysts, sapphires, emeralds, diamonds and Paraiba tourmalines. We’d also recommend the glamorous white diamond piece by Chopard and Faberge’s Regalia adorned with 176 Mozambican rubies and white diamond, both of which make a regal statement. Piaget’s Silk Route inspired ‘Secrets and Lights’ cuff bracelet set in white gold, diamond, sapphires and emeralds, Etho Maria’s vision in blue – an award-winning blue topaz and sapphire cuff, the sensuous, master enameller-jeweler Ilgiz F’s enamelled Iris cuff are other bejeweled options. And, if you wish to be daring, don artisan jeweler Wendy Yue’s Jungle cuff bracelet and prowl in style.
